Jim Schneider is the senior research analyst covering the FinTech sector at Goldman Sachs within Global Investment Research. He is responsible for covering of publicly traded and private companies in the technology sector, and for leading the firm’s research effort in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Jim worked as an equity analyst covering semiconductors at Wedbush Morgan Securities. He has also worked in sales and marketing at venture-backed Matrix Semiconductor (later acquired by SanDisk), and as a technology analyst at the RAND Corporation.

 

Jim holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the University of Dayton.
